Delvin grew up in Cleaborn Homes - one of the housing projects that Streets ministers to. He heard about Streets and even attended one of Streets' summer camps with Ken Bennett, but never came to know Christ during his time as a student. Delvin graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1995 and became a gang leader and drug dealer until 1999 when his life was drastically changed after he came to know Christ. In March of 2000, he took a position at Streets as the Middle School Coordinator, later became the Director of Ministry, and is now the High School Coordinator of Streets Ministries. Delvin graduated from the University of Memphis in 2007 with a B.A. in Communications-Rhetoric and is here at Streets because he has been called by the Lord to give his life away to kids and their families in the 38126 community and in the entire city. He assists the football team at Booker T. Washington High School, serves as a board member for Advance Memphis, and is a member at Hope Presbyterian Church. Delvin married his wife, Loretta, in July of 1999 and loves to fish, swim, and go on any kind of family outing with Loretta and his three kids - Delvin, Deneisha, and Ariel.
